UPDATE: See Calypso's story--we went to the same home! Hello! My name is Ramone. Not too much is known about my past or how I came to be lost, but everyone is guessing that I'm a healthy male cockatiel between the ages of 2 - 5 years. I was found in the middle of the street on a dark and cold winter's night. Apparently, I may have been grabbed by a cat or some other hungry critter; fortunately all they got away with was a few of my gorgeous feathers. Everyone is guessing that I was so freaked out by the ordeal that I flew right into a building or a window or something, bruising my cute little beak. Lucky for me, a nice person noticed me cold and lonely in the street and called for some help, just before I turned into a pumpkin! (It was almost midnight!) I was taken to a shelter where I had to share a room with none other than a bunch of big ol' kitties! (Personally, I would have much preferred a private suite.) Lucky for me, I made my way to Mickaboo. My Mickaboo foster family says that I?m a real gem - bright, beautiful, charming, and sweet. I suppose they must be right! It takes some coaxing to get me out of my cage, but I am learning to step up and to shoulder surf, and I'm being introduced to a variety of interesting-looking veggies and pellets. Maybe I can spend time brightening up your day in my forever home soon? Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
