We don't know what conditions Sir Francis was exposed to that made him so sick. While he maintained a quiet stoicism during his lengthy treatment, he never recovered from the infections he picked up on his travels. This sweet, gentle bird finally gave up his struggles, much to our regret. Hello all. As you can see from my picture, I'm a very dignified English budgie. I've been very ill since I was rescued from an animal shelter, which is why you may notice the interesting pink around my beak. It is NOT lipstick! It's medicine! That would be very undignified. I'm a pretty quiet bird these days, but I can carry on a budgie conversation, even by myself. Don't be frightened by my very stern expression -- all English budgies look like we're frowning. It's because we have so many feathers on our foreheads! We're really very calm, happy birds. Keep an eye on this website, because I'll be looking for a nice home soon! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
