Otis and Daphne here. We were rescued from a shelter so nobody knows much about our past. Otis is the handsome normal grey and Daphne is the pretty lutino. As you can see, our heads are partially plucked, but we are not actively plucking our own, or each other's, feathers, and the doctor says that we seem healthy. We're on a healthy diet of pellets and veggies, and we share breakfast with our foster parents! After breakfast, Otis will wolf-whistle and sing, happy to have a full crop. We feel comfortable enough around people to step onto a hand and we'll stretch out our wings in greeting when you walk into the room. We love (supervised) exploring in our foster home, as long as we don't get too far from each other. Our foster parents can tell that we have been friends for a long time and are inseparable. While we're learning more and more about how to get along with people, we'll do well with adopters who will be a bit patient with us while we continue that journey. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
