I'm Presley, a handsome little white-faced cockatiel. Rocky and I lived together in a senior home and we had a bit of a rough time there. Rocky used to pick on me, to the point where he plucked out many of my feathers and left me scared and bleeding. That is how we came to Mickaboo, when a kind soul at the home realized that I needed medical care and that Rocky and I both needed a change. After several weeks in foster care, my physical and emotional wounds are mostly healed. I am proving to be a calm and friendly bird. I like visiting with my foster mom and I eat most of what she serves me, which means that I am starting to eat pellets and veggies. I have begun singing in foster care too, and my foster mom says that I have a wonderful and complex voice. I would like to go to a home with other birds and with humans who will be patient with me while my emotional scars heal. I am not a delicate bird but I have been through a lot and would appreciate some tender loving care while I put my life back together. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
