Hi. Wait just a second while I catch my breath. It's been a really frantic month. Whew! My name is Buddy. As you can see, I'm a perfect example of what a budgie should be. I've lived almost my whole life -- two years -- in the same home with Monty, my English cousin. Then one morning, Monty didn't wake up, he just lay there on the bottom of our cage. It had been really exciting at our house because we were all packing to move. But after Monty went away, things became very confusing. My person, a very nice lady who LOVES budgies, was kind of sick and she was going to move us all far away, to live with her daughter. But then she said she couldn't do that because they have a bunch of cats. I have to say here that I get very nervous around cats, but I was ready to go anyway. But my person said she didn't want to risk it. So she called Mickaboo and I'm now in a Mickaboo foster home. There are a lot of budgies, I can hear them. They sound pretty happy, so I guess it's ok here. But I miss my person and I miss living with Monty in our very own home. But you can see that I'm a pretty little boy and I would like to go to my own forever home. I'm still kind of nervous about people's hands, but I love to fly around a little outside my cage and I go back into it when I've checked things out. I'm very well behaved and promise to brighten up your life if you would give me a home.

Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted.
