My name is Yoshi. I'm a particularly bright yellow budgie with cute little white "sideburns". I've lead a blameless life, behaving just like a budgie should, providing a little sunshine in my humans' lives. One day they noticed that there was a lump on my back, so they took me to a nice avian vet -- which is what good people do with sick birds. The nice vet cut the lump off of my back (it was so quick, I hardly noticed!). But then my human said she couldn't pay the bill, so she just left without me. Wow. Human people are sure strange. I wouldn't go off and abandon somone I loved just because she was sick, would you? I'm kind of nervous around my foster mom because everythng has changed so fast. After being at the vet's office, Mickaboo took me in and now I'm living in a house with a bunch of other budgies. That's nice, but I'm still in a cage by myself. I hope that I get to be with other budgies pretty soon. And that I get a real home of my own -- a forever home with other budgies. Is your home a good place for budgies? Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
