Like many large parrots, I am living longer than my human family. My first owner passed away and now my second owner has moved into a nursing home. I was living in her empty house until her family asked Mickaboo to take me in. I am a lonely lovebug estimated to be 25 - 30 years old. That makes me a middle-aged bird. Most of my feathers have been chewed off because I was so lonely and sad. The downy feathers growing in make me look a little fluffy. I will let almost anyone scratch my head and step up on your hand with ease. "Hello","Here Kitty!" and "Let's Go" are among the phrases I can say. I have been around cats but not young children or dogs. If you would like a sweet, loving companion who adores being close to you, I could be the bird for you. Notice: Due to the sometimes difficult nature of amazons, Mickaboo prefers that amazons not be a households' first parrot.
