Hi there, I'm Petey the cockatiel. My previous human companion couldn't keep me because she was moving to a new apartment and was concerned that my singing would be too loud there. I'll admit, I do have a bold and joyous song, but that's just how I take life. Is there anything wrong with that? So, I'm a young (under 3 years old), handsome grey tiel who's just settling into my foster home. I'm still a bit shook up by the move but I'm doing OK. I like to watch and visit with people and I love calling out to the cockatiels in the other room. I really do love singing and talking and I do a few wild bird imitations too. Even though I'm a bit shy I love to sit on shoulders and preen my foster dad's sideburns. He says that I will make a great pet as soon as I get used to my new home. If you like music and have other cockatiels or budgies for me to visit with, maybe we can be best friends! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
