All things come round to him who will but wait." I'm not an educated bird, but I know the truth of that saying. Iris and I came to Mickaboo by way of an animal shelter. We were in a dirty box with eight eggs, some broken. The person who left us was not interested in our fate, but the people at the shelter were, and they called Mickaboo. No one knows for sure who laid all the eggs, but Iris and I were so frightened and in such bad condition, that we were not able to take care of the eggs. We were named by the Mickaboo volunteer who took us from the shelter. Iris was named because she is as beautiful as a flower. I was named Joseph because I kept trying to protect Iris and the eggs, like a good father. I have been splay legged since birth, but I can get around pretty well. I love people and will happily sit in a hand to be skritched. In fact, my foster mom and her family have all fallen in love with us -- so we have found a safe and happy home, and we don't have to wait any more.
