Bebe here. My name is pronouced "Bee-Bee" -- kind of like B.B. King, but without the blues guitar. I'm a sweet, older red-lored Amazon who has lived in a few homes in my life. In the past I've been kept in a tiny cage and fed mostly peanuts, but a nice woman who loves birds rescued me and called Mickaboo to come get me. I'm a bit overweight but my foster dad is working on that with me. The good news is that I love celery and carrots, both of which are good low-calorie foods. I am fairly quiet and gentle as Amazons go but I can still be feisty and playful when I'm in the mood. My favorite things are toys with cowbells and scritches on the side of my face and under my chin. I'm not a high-maintenance bird but I'd like to go to a home with plenty of out-of-cage time for me to stretch my wings, and other Amazons for me to visit with. Celery and cowbells are a plus! Thanks. Notice: Due to the sometimes difficult nature of amazons, Mickaboo prefers that amazons not be a households' first parrot.
