UPDATE 4/6/06: "Trinket has changed into a charming little boy - especially when he talks to you! He is still learning what it is to be a little cockatiel in a big world. Just like any little boy he is all over the place and tends to climb and sometimes finds himself in new places and situations that puzzle him. Trinket is learning fast and in the last few days he seems to be accepting that towels are not going to harm him and fun things can happen after the towels come. I am happy to say that Trinket too has settled in and is growing up to be a special little cockatiel gentleman." Trinket's my name, talkin's my game. Hello there, I'm Trinket a small treasure plucked up by a Mickaboo volunteer from a shelter where I was deposited as an aviary bird. I am a normal gray tiel with light gray "freckles" on my head. I like to nibble cuttlebone and the shredder toy I share with the tiel friend I live with. I think my previous owner didn't know what pellets, Avicakes, Nutriberries, apples and all that good stuff is because when I got to my new foster home, there it was and all I had to do to get it was jump up on the edge of the bowl and EAT, and boy do I eat. My favorite things to do are EAT, SLEEP and PLAY. Boy, this is the life! I don't really care if my nares and beak look a little bit strange or that my head seems a little too small for my body, everyone is different and that is what makes me special. I seem a little lost at the moment though because call like mad for someone when I am uncovered in the morning. I think I would like a cockatiel friend, or a few in the room, to keep me company cause I like to talk so much. You know, in the cockatiel world there's so much to talk about! I haven't decided if I am a bird?s bird or if I want to own a person. It's such a big decision for such a little wheezy cockatiel to make right now. When I am feeling better I tell you for sure.
