Hi, my name is Johnny Pijj and I'm a one-legged homing pigeon. I ended up at the San Jose Animal Shelter in a bad way... my good leg was a little wonky and my bad leg was all black and dead! Thank goodness MickaCoo was able to rescue me and rush me to an avian vet where my dead leg was amputated. I'm fully recovered and charming everybody at Andy's (100% Rescue) Pet Shop in San Jose. I can fly and live a pretty normal life, provided I can find a nice, forever home! And now I have a mate! I wooed and won Wendy the smart king pigeon who took herself to the vet when nobody else would! We're available as a couple only. NOTE FROM PIGEON & DOVE COORDINATOR: Johnny is super cute. He's feisty and coos in a nice little tenor voice and is completely unaffected by his missing leg. Print this page |
