Hello there. My name is Peaches. Can you guess show I got my name? Yes, you're right! It's due to my absolutely gorgeous peachy feather coloring. People tell me that my picture doesn't do me justice - I am even more handsome in person! Can you believe it? I am a ten year old, or so, Moluccan cockatoo who recently lost my beloved Dad. He was very, very sick, in the hospital for five months, and now sadly, has passed away. . . I miss him so very much. I was brainstorming, with my friends, on how to find a new family when my aunt and uncle found Mickaboo. They said they could help. I am a sweet and gentle bird and enjoy being petted and hanging out with my humans, very much. I do not quite understand how to "step-up" but my foster family is working on that with me. You know what though? Despite the sadness and changes in my life recently I am doing very well. I have not plucked my feathers which is a common behavior for cockatoos when extreme change or stress occurs in their lives. I am eating well, including pellets. I like fresh foods as well. You know all about me now - can you tell me about you? Would you like a sweet-natured and loving feathered friend as a companion? If so get a hold of Mickaboo right away! I am waiting to hear from you.

Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot. If you intend to house a cockatoo, please research the following websites:
