I may be missing a few feathers, but the ones I have are pretty special. My feathers have that unique Eclectus texture and the amazing color of a female of my species. I'm Tasha, and I'm a sweet, gentle girl. My former owner loved me very much, so I have had a good start as a companion. Unfortunately, I developed a bit of a plucking problem, perhaps from exposure to tobacco smoke. My foster mom is teaching me to enjoy a good diet (we Eclectus can use some extra vitamin A) and giving me daily showers. This has improved my feather count some, but I may never be totally covered. But let's not hear any remarks from you humans who have no feathers at all! What counts is that I'm a great friend. I even try to wander around the house to find my foster mom, but she has explained to me that this might not be a safe habit. I can say a clear "hello," so maybe she can teach me just to call for the person I want. Much of my human "talking" is mumbles, though, so I'm not sure that will work. Most of the time, I'm a quiet girl, though I'm capable of belting out an impressive HONK. If you meet me, I think you?ll soon see that I deserve a second, and third, look. If you adopt me, I promise you soon won't notice a few missing feathers. And I promise not to ever judge you by your hair, or lack thereof?? Print this page |
