Dasher is (of course) one of our Christmas budgies this year; hence, the name. He is a very dashing budgie for more than on reason, however. Dasher can fly backwards, and hover. These are not unknown budgie talents, but they are very rare. Perhaps he was exposed to hummingbirds when he was very young (he lived in an outdoor aviary before coming to Mickaboo.) He is a charming little budgie boy and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's home. He is not hand tame now, but (like all budgies) could become tame. But if you are just looking for someone to be a budgie in your house, he's all ready to go and perfect for the job! Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
