So, here I am in pet jail, and I don't even know why. Me and my buddy Willy. All I know is that we were having a good time when our owner took a little trip. We stayed with some sitter person for about a year when our owner called and told us that they weren?t coming back! Imagine the nerve! So, to make matters even worse yet, the sitter person takes us to pet jail. We did not even do anything wrong. Treated like criminals! So, to make the best of a situation, we entertained everyone for close to a month. We were singing, dancing, flirting, just the best pair of green birds you could even imagine. Not one person wanted to bring us home. And we were getting a little worried there because they have this room where dogs and cats go and THEY DO NOT COME BACK. We did not want to see what was in there, let me tell you. Thanks goodness for Mickaboo. They came and broke us out and brought us to a new place to hang. So here we are, hanging and waiting for a new owner to show us the appreciation we deserve. So let me tell you about us a little so you know how great we really are! Willy and me have been running together since we were little ones. We really get each other, you know what I mean? He preens me, I preen him, he takes a nut from me, I knock him off the perch to remind him that my nut is MY NUT. You have to draw the line somewhere, you know? We are both right about 8 years old. I am what they call a yellow crown amazon (because, you know, I AM king) and Willy here is a double-yellow headed amazon. But do not worry, he only has one head, it just has a lot more yellow on it than mine. I obviously talk a lot better than Willy, but he likes me a lot and tries to say and do what I say and do. I am actually quite the talker. The other day, our foster mom had us out in some big room running around on the carpet. I saw a mirror! So I said, "Look! A mirror!" and ran over to it. Willy, of course, followed me. I think he got scared of his own mug and jumped up to fly off. Well, he crashed into a plant, knocked it on the floor and laid there on his back like a slug. I have not laughed so hard in a long time! I have a great laugh, you know, that deep, belly rumbling laugh and then I said, "THAT is SO funny!" Pretty cool. When I see the big yellow dog that lives here I tell her "Here boy, go get it". There is a cat too. Willy and me both meow like crazy to get him to come closer, but he never does. Maybe he is not a real cat or something. So then we cluck like a bunch of chickens. Nothing. The crow calls do not work either. That cat thing is just staying away from us so all we can do now is laugh at him. When the people come over and tell us to behave, I reply with a deeply respectful, "Blah, blah, blah!" It is very important to know that we both have quite the sophisticated pallet. We like a LOT of fruit and veggies. And we eat these pellet things too. Now and then, we get treats like nuts or pasta, but not too much because, between me and you, Willy could stand to lose a few, you know what I mean? So, how about it? Do you want to meet us? I will tell you, we are both really nice birds and LOVE to hang with our peeps, you know? I will even tell you "step up" when I want some TLC. Go on, click on that button that says, "contact my coordinator" and tell her you need to meet us in person. I know you want to . . . .
