08/05/09 Chiquita the Hahn's Macaw Chiquita came into our home with her tub of pellets, a jar of black sunflower seeds, and a big personality in December of 2008. It is with great sadness that she passed unexpectedly. Our house is so much quieter without her; Chiquita was constantly talking whether in English or Spanish which is probably why my husband fell in love with her and her him. We miss her telling us "night-night" until we came to put her to bed all the while talking a kissing herself to sleep on her swing. She was such a sweet little bird always there to greet you, answer the phone, or even share her cage with our Jenday; I am sure he misses her too. Thank you Mickaboo for bringing this sweet little bird into our lives and for everything you do for our little feathered friends. Chiquita?s foster mom. Print this page |
