You'll never forget where my ancestors come from because I'm a cockatiel named Aussie. I almost was called Peg Leg, but a bunch of people made sure that name didn't fit me. My former owner brought me to a vet because my leg was dangling. Unfortunately, she could not afford the care I needed, but the vet suggested a good plan. The vet agreed to work on my leg and then, if I could be saved, let Mickaboo find me a home. My leg is almost as good as new! One of my toes turns at an angle sometimes, but I can walk and climb with the best of them. I eat well and am a handsome, healthy fellow. Sometimes I have a bit of that cocky attitude, but I?m a real sweetheart who likes to visit with my people, watch TV with them, and beg for head scritches. Obviously, I have come back from the brink of disaster. To make my recovery complete, all I need is a new forever home. Anyone who argues with that doesn't have a leg to stand on. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
