I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

Good looking, older yellow-headed gentleman seeks emotionally available, sensitive and companionable Lutino lady with orange cheeks. Hobbies include struttin' and singing, and yelling upon separation for any reason. Mutual skritches a must. Last book read: The Guide to a Well-behaved Parrot.
Update 7/15/05 -- I'm doing quite well, thank you very much! I eat Avicakes now, nibble my leafy greens, and really enjoy cooked Kashi grains with veggies, and Zupreem Natural pellets. I accept pellets from my foster mom's fingers and I step up (most of the time). I still very fond of one of my foster mom's other birds, and I prefer her company to that of others. But when my foster mom takes me to another room for a nice shower, I am well behaved. I would like a home where I can be a companion to another bird (preferably a female Lutino (that's yellow if you don't speak cockatiel) and if the people don't mind that I like birds better than people. I will reward their understanding with beautiful sonatas, just like my namesake!

I'm a handsome cockatiel called Beethoven. We can see I'm a bit on the thin side. (So I'm still getting plenty of seed and haven't had to pay too much attention to these pellets and fresh foods yet.) I began as a pet for a young boy, was passed on to a young girl unable to care for me properly, and ended up spending 4 years with a woman who reports that, in spite of my very brief friendships with other birds, I was a tame, non-aggressive pet. Now in my foster home, I have focused on a pretty female cockatiel and I'm crazy about her!

Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted.
