I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

My name is Tui, and like my Maori namesakes in New Zealand, I like to sing in the sunshine. I am not even a year old yet and I could really use a new home where I can get lots of cuddles and scritches, forever and ever.

My original owner moved out of the country and couldn't take me, so left me with some good friends. They are really nice people, but my new mom went to college during the day while her husband slept so he could go to work at night. This left me all alone during the day, which was pretty distressful, I can tell you! I tried and tried to call out to see if there were any flocks nearby, but this woke the husband up during the day while he was trying to sleep and was just not a good situation for either of us.

My foster Mom has fallen in love with me in just one day, and who wouldn't? I am cute, cuddly, and make the sweetest purring noises when you scritch my head. I am getting to sample all kinds of new food and kiwi is absolutely delicious! I do like my little Harrison's pellets too.

My foster Mom's big mountain dog thinks I need some company and likes to lay outside my sliding glass door to guard me in case there are any cats around. I have been talking to him, but I don't think he knows how to sing because he doesn't answer me. He just wags his tail.

I think I would like to be a magician's assistant, as I am becoming quite adept at figuring out latches and opening cage doors. I may be tiny, but I am very smart!
