Hi! I'm Santino! I'm a king and red-check feral pigeon cross and that's what gives me my lovely, strawberry blonde coloring and dramatic markings. I was supposed to become somebody's dinner (squab) but a soft-hearted lady bought me and my ten friends to save our lives and to set us free (which we really appreciated!) but then she set us free and we didn't know where our food bowls were or anything. We kings don't know how to survive out on the streets like the ferals do and so she took us to the animal shelter so that we wouldn't starve to death. THEN I had food but, if I didn't get adopted, I'd be euthanized. Oh my. It's an awful lot for a baby pigeon like me to cope with. Luckily, I became a MickaCoo pigeon and so now I have a foster home. Next stop- a forever home! I'm sweet and friendly with my foster mom and so would make a fine pet. Or, if you have a nice aviary, I'd like that too!
