Hi, everyone. I was named Hamton for a cartoon mouse (what's a cartoon?). I wasn't in any kind of shape to tell anybody my real name. I was brought in to an animal shelter with a broken wing. The shelter called Mickaboo right away - that's what you do with stray birdies! Mickaboo sent someone to get me right away, and I was taken to an avian vet. The vet says I'm a tough little budgie, since it was a compound fracture with a big hole in the wing and here I am! The wound is all healed and they didn't have to amputate my wing. Sadly, I cannot fly any more. But I'm feeling pretty good and I can move around a lot! And fast! Just ask my foster mom, who gets tired really quick chasing me around on her hands and knees. I'm fine now, thank you very much. I'm ready to move into a lovely new home -- how about yours? Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted. Print this page |
