Lovebird foster parents agree...We Adore Our Lovebirds!
OK folks, you find love where you find it! We've been living at out foster mom's house for about 10 months now. We live in a flock of about 30 lovebirds in a free flight bird room and just have a ball! The best part of being with this many birds is that you get to choose your own mate - and we have chosen each other. Yes, technically we are father and daughter but we don't really know that. Since we'll never have any babies (as we and Mickaboo knows there's enough lovebirds out there who already need homes), Mickaboo said we can stay together as we are so happy. We have both grown quite fond of our foster mom. We're fly to her and play all sorts of games: hiding in her crossed arms, sitting on her head, preening her ears, etc. We love being with her! We don't like to step up but once we go into a typical home where we will have our wings clipped, our foster mom thinks we'll learn quite quickly. We don't typically bite but can get a little nippy when it's breeding season - and Svengali laid a few eggs this spring. We got to go through the process of sitting on *eggs* (our foster mom switched out our eggs for white bingo balls! Our babies were named N35 and N42!) and our foster mom is hoping it's out of our system now. But we may have other plans......Be sure to ask her how to discourage us from nesty behavior.
Uh-oh, we've heard there are lots of tricks that you can use on us! We've been on a good diet of pellets for a while now, and LOVE our couscous/veggie dish that we get every morning. Come on guys - do you know how hard it can be to find a pair of lovies that are already mostly tame, don't bite, eating good food, and are absolutely gorgeous?? (if we do say so ourselves!) Please call Mickaboo today and take us home. We are ready to get all the love and attention we deserve!
