We call this little one Cosmo because he seems to be looking at the sky with great wonder. Cosmo is a special needs budgie because he has a neurological condition that causes him to have almost constant tremors. Despite the tremors, however, Cosmo is an active and very cheerful budgie. He is quite tame, and loves to come out of his cage and visit. He is a little uncertain on his feet, so he needs to sit on nice firm surfaces, but he gets around his cage well, and loves to play with his toys. He talks all the time -- frequently in a very deep voice that sounds funny coming from such a tiny little bird. Some of what he is saying sounds like English, some of it sounds more like budgie. Cosmo is special needs, but he is not pathetic -- he is a happy, outgoing, beautiful little budgie boy. Print this page |
