Please don't panic! While this picture looks like a very sinister character -- maybe even a criminal type -- he's really just an English budgie. English budgies are bigger than the standard, or "American" budgies. They're also calmer, and have a fluffy "pompadour" of feathers on top of their heads, which gives them this sleepy look. Sometimes the sleepy look appears more like a predator sizing up his prey. But don't be alarmed, English budgies are not the least bit threatening. Like Kramer (on Seinfeld), this pretty blue-gray budgie is more "bark" than "bite"! Print this page |
