Lancelot and Guinivere here. Lance is a pied white-faced cockatiel and Guine is a normal white-faced cockatiel with grey cheeks. In simpler terms, we're a couple of very attractive grey and white 'tiels who are looking for a home. Mickaboo got us from an animal rescue situation that involved several dogs, cats, children -- and us! -- all of whom were poorly cared for in a dirty home. We had to stick together in this difficult environment, and we are quite bonded to each other. This means that if you want to adopt either of us you have to adopt both of us! We're still learning to trust people but we are curious and like to watch our foster mom change our food dishes. We are also learning to play with toys, but our favorites so far are paper strips and vegetables, both of which we like to tear to shreds. Yes, we said vegetables. If you hang a piece of broccoli or a spinach leaf in our cage, we will gleefully tear it apart. Mickaboo says that it's OK for birds to play with their food and, besides, we are actually learning to eat the vegetables by playing with them. We would like to go to a home where we can keep learning about good food and make new human friends who will give us time to learn to trust them. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
