UPDATE 2/20/06: "Viva is doing fabulously. She adores being with her aviary mates and complains vehemently if she's separated for any length of time. Her eye socket has quit weeping, and it looks very healthy. I had renamed her "Angel", but upon further consideration, have named her "Puffin." She annoys easily and is constantly huffing at me if I do anything she finds disagreeable, which pretty much means if I'm breathing she's huffing! My boyfriend says her name should be "Renee Junior" She's adorable, small, but vigorously healthy. She's a good eater and loves her independence although she has deemed it acceptable to sit on my shoulder for a minute or two. She's quite the imperious lady and doesn't do anything that doesn't please her. She really is the adorable bossy lady. Maybe with time she'll discover I'm not such a bad sort after all!" Hi, I'm Viva. I'm a cinnamon pied cockatiel. My background is very mysterious, since I turned up in a shelter with just one eye. No one knows what happened to the other eye, and I don't discuss the matter. A lady doesn't talk about her looks. My foster parents say I am particularly lovely colors, for example, but that shouldn't matter if I have a lovely soul. I am rather shy. It isn't clear to me why people keep putting their hands in my cage, and I get very upset when that happens. After all, these Mickaboo people are all practically strangers! A lady has to protect her virtue, you know! I did have to have a little minor surgery, but I will be ready to move into a new home very soon. If I get the chance to become well acquainted with some new friends, I'm sure that I can get over this shyness. Would you like to discover my lovely soul and give me a chance to blossom into the happy girl I can be? Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
