Kip came to Mickaboo because his lady love was very ill. He had a very unhealthy obsession with that lady love; a lovebird named Leena. Lovebirds should not be matched with any other species of bird but their own so we had to separate these two...for Kip's safety. He seems to be doing just fine now that he is a bachelor once again. Kip is in a new foster home, still in quarantine but will join other cockatiels once he has served his time. From Kip's foster mom: "strangest thing with Kip, he makes lovebird sounds!! He chirps like one, sings like one and even does the head bob like a lovebird does! It's so funny. He is adjusting just fine in the quarantine room!". Because of his strong attachment to Leena the lovie, Kip will probably do best in a home with at least one other cockatiel.
