UPDATE 6/9/05: I'm the princely cockatiel formerly known as Henry. Now I have a new forever home and a new name, Mickey D. The Mickey is for Mickaboo and the D is just for the heck of it. I was found injured and Mickaboo got me the vet care I needed. They not only saved my life, they made sure I had a life worth living! I'm now in my new home with a new best birdie friend named Patches. We are definitely bonded. I'm the dominant one, but I'm no bully. He has taught me how to eat more nutritious food. Our mom (love the sound of that) makes a great birdie bread with veggies and fruit and pellets and all that good stuff. I still don't like hands (my nickname is Road Runner because I run from them) but I time may improve that. My time in the wild wasn't totally wasted because I learned some nice wild bird song that sing to the birds in the trees outside our window. But that doesn't mean I miss the scary outdoors! I get to spend a lot of time out of my cage and that is all the freedom I need. The only problem is that I enjoy it so much that sometimes I don't want to go to bed at night. What a life! Hi from Henry! I'm a grey cockatiel who was found with a gash on my cere and some feathers missing on my neck. I won't explain, but looks like I had a run-in with a nasty critter, doesn't it? Now things are just fine because Mickaboo got me the vet care I needed. I've even put on a few grams. I love company and will whistle when you come in the room. In fact, I can whistle some tunes and may be downright loud at times. Hands are off limits to my way of thinking, but I will step on an arm or stick--but not directly from my cage. Guess I have some work to do on that. But don't worry, I don't bite. Nutrian cakes are my favorite so I may need to take Veggies 101 to learn to eat some fresh stuff. In short, I'm a cute and friendly little guy who would be a great friend for a person willing to work on (or just overlook) my little quirks. Print this page |
