Update 6/15/2006: Brandy is such a lovable bird, and she's oh so cute! She's very quiet and still a bit of a perch potato. Brandy loves to hang out and is very happy to cuddle in the crook of your neck. When she gets to know you, she's open to petting and kisses on top of her head. She's ok as a single bird, but she does like hanging out with other birds too. I would prefer that she be in an all female cockatiel home, or with someone who will be very observant to avoid any nesty situations because she was a prolific egg layer in the past. Brandy still needs work stepping up in her cage, but if she doesn't want to step up, she'll scoot away instead of biting. Outside the cage, she's a pro at stepping up. Brandy loves to watch the sunset from a sunny window. She also loves to spend time outdoors, in a secure cage of course! She doesn't get winded anymore now that she's getting regular exercise. Brandy eats pellets like a pro and will nibble on fresh herbs, leafy greens, peas, and broccoli. Hi there, I'm Brandy! Like my namesake, I'm distilled--the best of all that is cockatiel distilled into one, not so little, bird. I may be a tad plump right now, but, hey, I'm a female of a certain age.... Actually, I'm a beautiful cinnamon cockatiel, recently found as a stray. I like pellets, so those few extra grams will come off easily, especially if my toy-bashing skills continue to improve. Most likely I was hand raised, but I'm a bit rusty on perching on fingers. With a little practice, that will come back, I'm sure. No practice is needed in the shoulder snuggling department, as I'm an expert at that. Head pets, kisses, and good conversation are fine, too. Dogs aren't my favorite thing, but I can tolerate them if necessary. I'm a mellow lady who adapts well and isn't flustered by a busy environment. So adopt me and we'll grab a snifter of cognac to toast the formation of a new family. Or skip the drink, and just go for the Brandy. Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
