My former person sent me to Mickaboo with a warning: "Watch you, or she'll steal your heart!" Turns out, she was right. I now have a new home! I'm Vita, an African grey parrot, about 13 years old. I have the interactive intelligence expected from us greys, plus I'm a cuddly sweetheart--not always so expected. I talk quite a bit and make lots of sounds, including the opening and pouring of a soda-pop. I eat fruity pellets, now that I've been introduced to them. Until I came to Mickaboo, I had been living in a cage that was really smaller than I?d like. Now I have a big cage and a nice play gym. The gym is great because I can hang out with my new family. My one quirk is that I don't let my tail feathers grow full length. But I'm such a darling, that nobody really cares about my tail. Like many birds, I'm loved not for my feathers, but for my powerful personality. My life and the lives of my new people are now filled with VITA-lity! Print this page |
