Please watch Caillou's YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ypxvm9kFO8 My name is Caillou and everybody tells me I'm a BEAUTIFUL cockatiel. My foster mom thinks I am about 8-10 years old. I was turned in to the shelter as a stray. My cage was sitting with the roosters. A Mickaboo volunteer went to pick me up; I apparently did not look very good. She took me to the vet right away where an avian doctor checked me over and put me on medication for bacterial infections. Now, I?m healthy and quite happy. I?m very shy, sweet, and content. I was born with deformities on my left foot and left wing that prevent me from walking or perching like most birds. My cage needs to be set up with ramps and platforms and dishes that work for me. I'm a very lucky bird; my foster mom set up a hospital tank for me so I can get around much easier with my disabilities. I love to eat pellets and greens. I don?t care much for seeds anymore. As you can see, I am a very special needs cockatiel. That doesn?t mean I am not fun to watch. I love to be left alone in my tank, play with my toys; especially rope toys where I can untie or chew on a knot. I can tell my foster mom thinks I lost my companion. When I feel happy or sad, dance, sing or talk to myself it?s like I am seeing my buddy in the mirror. I always sit in the front corner of my tank; waiting for my buddy to show up and keep me company. Do you have a lonely cockatiel who would enjoy my company and vice versa? Print this page |
