Hello, I'm Halo! I'm a young male budgie who was surrendered with a bunch of others to a Bay Area shelter. Fortunately Mickaboo was there to spring me out! I'm currently living with my buddy Squall and appreciating the change in my life. I used to be quite the seed junkie but my foster mom has introduced me to the world of food beyond it--pellets, fresh food, and more! I love whole dandelion greens, but not just for eating--I love to cling to them when they're wet and rub myself on them to take a bath! Hey, it's more fun than a spray bottle, and besides, I'm a parrot, I love to play with my food! I'm not sure how I earned the name Halo--my foster mom says it's because of my pale blue and white colors and my bright eye rings, and how they remind her of a halo around the sun. I'd like to think it's actually because I'm a little angel, but my cagemate Squall tells me to get real. I'm learning about perching on hands and shoulders and I'll consider doing it for millet. And sometimes I say something that sounds suspiciously like "Hello!"...or maybe I'm saying my name. So do you want to add a bit of budgie vibrancy to your life? Of course you do!

Notice: Due to the highly social nature of parakeets, unless a household currently includes a parakeet, Mickaboo generally requires that a minimum of two parakeets be adopted.
