UPDATE 5/6/05: Well, I've been in my foster home for 9 months now. I have the appetite of a macaw and I'm only a small Jenday Conure. I love veggies and fruits and nuts -- I eat them without wasting a drop. I'm always busy, moving about my cage, playing with my toys, visiting other flock members and jabbering in jenday talk. I am happy in my foster home, but would love to go to a permanent forever home. I still pluck my feathers, but I not as much as before -- but I'm bright, happy and a very good watch bird. Hi, I'm Sami an 11-year-old Jenday conure. When I arrived at my foster home, I was completely plucked on my chest, legs, and under my wings, but I'm getting really beautiful now with my feathers coming back. My owners divorced, and I was left alone in a garage for 7 months until I was rescued. I like to jabber away and I hop up on command. I take showers and eat fruits and vegetables---I love walnuts and almonds the best. I?m very friendly with the two other conures in my foster home, and I'd love a home with lots of warm care. Is that your home? Story posted on: October 18, 2004 Print this page |
