I'm the definitive survivor. My name is Luna, and I'm a pretty grey cockatiel girl. I'm only about 1 1/2 years, old but I have been with Mickaboo about a year recovering from horrible burns. First came months of intensive care with daily pain medication, antibiotic foot soaks, and antibiotic cream and injections. Though I was not expected to live, I surprised everybody and recovered very well. I have lost a couple of toes and have some scars on my face and elsewhere, but I'm now a feisty, independent and fully mobile bird! I enjoy a healthy diet of pellets, spinach and other greens, and toast. Apparently at one time I was very hand tame, but understandably I have lost some of that. With a patient empathetic person, I could be a tame companion again. I also enjoy the company of other cockatiels. Obviously I am determined not to be kicked off the island, so forget the tribal council and please help me live this life I have earned! Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
