Hello from your new friend Gumby! You may call me "Your Cuteness" or "Adorable One". My foster mom calls me "Gumbo", "Gumball", and "the great Gumbino". I am of unknown gender (I know but you don't) and have passed the 10 year mark. My former owner rescued me from a bad environment. I am not a talker and am generally quiet. I am in a new foster home now and the welcome mat was out. If you want to get your welcome mat out too, I'd be willing to keep on moving a bit because each place just gets better. Update: The reports from my foster mom are outstanding. I come out of my cage now - no fear - and hang out on top. I've even been sleeping on the top just to enjoy the freedom. I've learned how to play with foot toys and anything else I can chew. Boy do I LOVE toys. AND although I've been a seed and peanut junkie, I took to those organic pellets in a big way. I've heard the other birds and am excited to get a peek soon. I think I'd like to be with other birds my size. I even let my foster mom touch my head and I call her when she leaves the room. My foster mom says I will make someone a fantastic friend. If finding a great friend is on your list, please contact my coordinator soon. Update:3/12/08 . I just keep getting cuter and better in every way. I am no longer a peanut junkie - preferring shelled pine nuts (thank you very much!!) And no tap water for me - I get bottled water. Because . . . I am SO special. By the way, I hope you can cook because if I don't like whats in my bowl, I know how to dump it!!! Other than that I am a tidy little guy. I was even out of my cage the other day and ended up across the room. When my foster mom came to get me, I stepped right up on her arm like I knew what I was doing. I'm blossoming and my happy little self is getting ready - maybe it will be for YOU. Print this page |
