Update: Koko's foster family says, "She is a wonderful, wonderful bird and we are so happy to have her in our lives . . ." My name is Koko. I'm in my 20's or so. A band on my leg indicates I was wild caught - something that is no longer allowed by law. I was treated like a princess by my owners of many, many years. I was originally found walking the streets of San Francisco! So much so that I prefer all my food cooked - thank you very much! Unfortunately they needed to find me anew home so here I am writing a story about myself. I'm a real sweetie pie-everyone who meets me fall s in love with me. It looks like I have a cataract forming and have very limited vision in my right eye. I'll be having that checked out by a specialist very soon I am told. Goffins, like me, are cute, cuddly and like to clown around. We are very intelligent, fun to have around, and make great family companions. We can live to be up to 65 years or more - so I have many good years left to keep you company. What about it? Shall we be friends? Contact my coordinator and let's see what happens, OK? Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot. If you intend to house a cockatoo, please research the following websites: Wikipedia: Cockatoos My Toos Print this page |
