My name is Pepe and I am approximately fourteen-years-old. My foster family calls me Pepe L'Peu, but just so you know I do not smell. They just thought it was a cute name that fit me. My favorite human died recently and his elderly mother tried to care for me and my other bird family but decided we needed a chance for a better life. So I'm now living with my new my foster family. I'm quite a lucky fellow because my foster mom lets me hang out with her all day while she works in her home office. I'm a very quiet boy, so I just hang out and occasionally whistle a little tune, but so far I haven't said any human words. I am a very sweet bird who just wants to spend time with my people. I'm still a little nervous about being handled but my foster mom and I are working very patiently to build up my confidence. I have been known to be nippy when I am scared. I love fruit and am currently eating pellets which are ok, but not as yummy as fresh fruit. I recently discovered a mirror hanging close to my cage and it took me a couple of days to figure out that there is not a twin living right next to my cage. At first I thought he was just rude because he would never respond to me, but then I figured it all out. I tell you I am smarter than the average Senegal. I am a very sweet and handsome bird looking for a person or family who will love me and share their life with me.
