Lovebird foster parents agree...We Adore Our Lovebirds!
Here we are -- Annie and Mole! We're two female lovebirds. We've lived together for over a year, and we're very closely bonded. We were surrendered to Mickaboo because our owner couldn't care for us any more. Annie is the sunny blond, and I'm Mole -- the dark green peach face. I'm pretty friendly. I like to snuggle on your shoulder, and I'll usually step up to visit. Hands suddenly coming into my cage may get a sharp nip as a reminder that courtesy is important when you're visiting someone's home. Annie is a little shy and doesn't usually step-up, but she is pretty tolerant about hands otherwise. We're getting a varied diet in our Mickaboo foster home, and we both eat Nutrian cakes, wild-and-spicy pellet mix, and cooked couscous. We also like apples and leafy greens. Annie has experienced some feather loss, especially on her back and around her (ahem!) derriere. But there are feathers growing back in on her back and wings. We're very cheerful young ladies, happy to interact with humans, and ready to learn to be snuggle bunnies with very little encouragement. Nobody knows where my name came from (it's pronounced just like the burrowing rodent), but it may be because I like to hide under blankets and towels and other loose cloth. Peak-a-boo! I see you! Now it's your turn. Print this page |
