Hello! My name is Baby, a female Blue & Gold macaw about 15 years old. I am a sweetheart according to my foster mom. When she whispers to me, I whisper back. I have refined ladylike ways and like the quiet life. When my foster mom moved me from quarantine into the common areas I became agitated - dogs, cats, kids, vacuums, etc. I'm back in a less chaotic room where I enjoy the company of one or two people each day. I am skittish around young kids. I like my environment to be quiet and discreet, like me. I helped my foster mom do some filing one day - picking up from one pile and gently placing onto another. I can be good around the house - if it is quiet and organized. I love to be held, hugged and kissed by ADULTS ONLY. I show a bit of skin but that does not detract from my gentle nature. If your home sounds like a good place for me, please contact my coordinator. This soft-spoken gal will come into your home and into your heart. UPDATE 10/20/08 Seems like Mickaboo has worked its magic on me because instead of being a little wall flower I am starting to blossom. In my current foster home I help my foster mom in the kitchen supervising loading and unloading the dishwasher, helping fold laundry, and making snow with white paper towels. I am a home body and like the daily routine. If my mom is busy, I climb down and run around looking for her. I love it when she pats my cheeks and tells me what a good girl I am.
