I've been happily adopted, but check below for a list of other sweet birds who need a home!

How do you do? Pleased to meet your acquaintance. My name is Pedro - I am a senior cockatiel of 26 years of age. I'm quite proud of my age. I was found in the yard of my owner when she was just a young girl, and that was 26 and half years ago! She's loved and cared for me all these years, but now she has a little girl of her own who has allergies which, unfortunately, are exacerbated, by my dander. So, she did some web surfing and found Mickaboo who said they'd help me find a new place. I'm a friendly fellow, in good health, and quite agile for my age! I have a bit of arthritis but it's not too bad really. I can still clamber about quite nicely. I am inquisitive and will come up to the side of the cage to check you out. I'm in quarantine right now so I can only hear, but not see, the other cockatiels in this place. We chirp to each other - it will be nice to meet them, in person, soon. I'm told there are 8 other geriatric 'tiels here. It's sort of a cockatiel assisted living. I'm thinking I may like to stay her permanently. I'll have to schmooze my foster mom, in a gentlemanly sort of way of course, and see if she'll let me stay. I have a feeling she's got a thing for older gentlemen as most of her older birds are boys. Please check up on me though. If it doesn't work out here I will need a new room to move into. Thanks for reading about me!

Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted.
