Hi! My name is Cooper, a 20 something Blue & Gold female macaw. I just joined Mickaboo after living a sparse existence with little interaction or exercise for the last 10 years. I lived outside in a chicken coop. Tonight, however, I am in a big clean macaw cage with a swing and new toys, and clean dishes and some good food coming up soon. I'm in a family home with children and although I'm pretty rough around the edges and not well socialized, I enjoyed watching them looking at me and said "Hello" quite a few times. Nice kids said "Hello" right back. I also say "Cracker" in a really loud voice. So, when the cold wind blows and the rain comes down and you are safe and warm in your nice house, just remember now I am safe and warm in a nice house too. Mickaboo is the best! UPDATE: 10/05/08 Ive been on the road a lot recently. Circumstances have caused some foster home changes and everyone falls in love with me. In these moves I've learned something you need to know. I want to tell you about my relationship with men. They are ok as long as they have hair. I don't like bald and just go berserk. If you like me and you are a hair challenged male you will have to wear a hat. I'm not really fond of glasses on anyone so it would be helpful if you could put them in your pocket. And I prefer not to be around little kids since they make me nervous. Now to the good stuff - I love pancakes. I'll yell "Cracker" and you better come running with the goodies. I'll "Mmmmmmmmm" and eat them all gone. I know I sound cute but I am a handful and in addition to a full head of hair and no glasses, and an adults only home, I want someone who is not a newbie around macaws. Hope to hear from you soon.
