UPDATE 10/3/07: Well, it turn out that Carmine has a very strong preference from men. Her foster Mom saw a different bird when a man came by to visit with Carmine. Carmine had been aggressive with her but "she rushed to get on him and be near him." Soooo, best adopter for Carmine would be of the male persuasion :-) My name is Carmine, and I'm a female Vos Eclectus. I was taking a cruise through the trees when I was caught and taken to the animal shelter where I stayed for thirty frightening days. When I finally got to my foster mom's home, I was very nervous and ready to defend myself. After a few days, I ventured from my cage and introduced myself by saying "Hi, Carmine!" just so she'd know who I was. I like to remind her of that often. I also lived with someone who had a very bad cough, and I like to practice it quite a bit. I'm a great talker, enjoy playing with my toys, and love to eat pellets and fresh food. You'll see I've done some plucking in the past, but most of my feathers have grown back. I'm still not ready to get up close and friendly yet, but I'll step up if I fall off my cage. If you like redheads, I'm your girl, so please give Mickaboo a call! Print this page |
