Hey there! The name's J.R. I'm a 20+ year old wild caught Timneh African Grey that has just found a new wonderful forever home with my new adoptive mom and my CAG buddy Coco. The past few years have been been kind of rough for this cowboy, riding along on the rough terrains of life, but I know that things are going to be changing here real soon, now that I have found a new place to call home. My buddy Coco and I were living with a lady in a big urban city for the past 20 years. She had acquired me from another lady who was moving and whose boyfriend didn't want to have me around. During that time, I had a traumatic incident that injured my right eye so badly, that there is currently no shape or function left in that eye. Even though I am blind in that one eye, I have learned through the years how to adapt to getting around, and my new Avian Vet says that other than looking a bit odd, there is no need to do anything medically to it at this point.

At my new adoptive home, I am quite the adventurous guy! I love coming out of my cage on a daily basis and playing on the wonderful perches and play gyms my mom has for me in the bird room. I am also enjoying all the wonderful tasty foods that I am being offered and love to talk and imitate all kinds of sounds that I hear. My long time buddy, Coco the CAG, who I lived with for 20 years, is here with me in my new adoptive home as well. Even though we are not "bonded", it is really nice to have a familiar face here. So you can see, I couldn't have asked for a better adoptive mom and home! This ole'cowboy is a very lucky bird! Thank you Mickaboo for helping make this a reality!

Hello there! My name is Coco, and I am a beautiful 20 year old Congo African Grey that has just recently been adopted along with my friend J.R, the TAG. I was purchased as a baby CAG by a man 20 years ago, who after a few years, abandoned me with his ex-girlfriend. This lady wanted to do right by me, so she housed and cared for me, and eventually, got me a new friend, J.R. the TAG. Recently, she was no longer able to take care for us any longer, so both J.R. and I were fortunate enough to find a new wonderful forever home with our new adoptive mom through Mickaboo.

Both J.R. and I have not been handled in quite some time, but we are eager and open to interacting with people again. Like most CAGs, I am a bit nervous and suspicious of new things, but I am slowly learning to trust again. My new adoptive home has tons of wonderful toys, out of cage perches, and play gyms in the bird room that both J.R. and I can play on all day. It is definitely a birdie haven! I am also throughly enjoying all the wonderful tasty foods my mom feeds to us, and I especially like to talk and enjoy watching Basketball games and listening to and singing along with songs by Marvin Gaye. Things are going really well and I am enjoying the good life with my friend J.R. and my new adoptive mom. Thank you Mickaboo for giving me a second chance in having a wonderful life!
