Hi there! I'm Greta. You may have read about me in the story about my friend Gretchen. Gretchen and I were lost in the wild for a while. Boy! It looks like fun, out there in the sunshine and trees and stuff, with the wild birds. But it wasn't fun at all! I hurt myself and would have died if a nice lady hadn't found us in her back yard and taken us to an animal shelter. The people at the shelter called Mickaboo right away and we were rushed to an avian vet. (That's a bird doctor!) She is a nice lady too, and she tried to make me better, but my leg had been hurt too much to save. So I have one leg, and that's ok with me. I've been very brave, you know. My foster mom says I act like I've always had just one leg! I'm a happy little girl and, as you can see, as pretty as a flower. I would like to have a new home with my friend Gretchen, and maybe even with some other budgies, if they're nice and polite. Wouldn't you like to live with a brave little budgie? Print this page |
