Gable and Lombard were brought in together, a bonded pair of budgies. Lombard had a very large lump next to her wing. The lump was a tumor, and it had invaded the bone of her wing. Mickaboo took the two budgies from the shelter where they were surrendered, and rushed them to an avian vet immediately. Lombard did not survive the surgery. Avian medicine has made a lot of progress in recent years, and Lombard might have survived if she had been taken to a vet right away. Her owners might not have realized that she could have been saved. Print this page |
