Lovebird foster parents agree...We Adore Our Lovebirds!
Hi! I'm Moonface (so named for my fluffy white face) and foster mom says I'm BEAUTIFUL! The folks at the shelter seemed to think otherwise, though. They said I was unadoptable, just because I'm a little plucked, and wanted to put me to sleep. But Mickaboo wouldn't hear none of that, so now I'm living the life of luxury. No one seems to know why I'm plucked, but they keep talking about how I'm gonna go to a man called "vet" who should be able to figure it out. I'm not sure how. Is he psychic? Anyways, I'm so pleased with my new home that I'm taking wonderful care of all the new feathers that come back in. Mom says I look fluffier with every minute! Mom keeps trying to tell me that she's in charge, but I'm a sassy little lovebird so I nip her sometimes. But mom says she's gonna teach me the rules so we can get along better. What I really love is how excited mom gets when I sneak out of my cage and go visit her other lovebird. She keeps saying this word "quarantine" that I don't understand. But I don't think that'll last forever. Maybe if you're looking for a beautiful blue lovebird with a sassy attitude and a lot to say you can take me home and watch me grow fluffier and fluffier. Maybe you'll even have another lovebird friend for me? Give Mickaboo a ring, I'm eager to meet you! UPDATE: My new life is fabulous! I was shining like a star on Mickaboos website when my mom decided to check it out. She saw me and never looked at another bird. She attended a class, took me home and the rest is history. She has a few other lovebirds so I have a new human and birdie family! My mom is also quite an activist for us feathered guys! She was recently on the news discussing the horrors of some of the conditions we are kept in at some pet stores. Not all lovebirds can be as lucky as me to live with her but she is doing her best to help as many as she can. She sure loves us lovebirds! Print this page |
