Hi, my name is Ariel and I'm a Patagonian Conure. They call me Ariel because I'm not real sure how to step up, so sometimes I take a little hop and fly above your hand and hover there before I make a soft landing. Hey, instead of a step up, why not a fly up--it gets the job done. They also referred to me as the hovercraft or helicopter, so I was relieved when they finally settled on Ariel--you know, a girl's got an image to maintain. At my last home, everyone got too busy to spend any time with me, and so I got put in the garage. That made me real sad, because I'm a big cuddle bug so I started plucking to take my mind off it. I love to sit in your lap and get petted over my whole body, and of course, a little scratch or two on the head doesn't hurt. I'm also a trapeze artist and like to put one leg on each of my hanging toys and hang there doing the splits. Or for real fun, I hang on the side of the cage using only my beak and push my body way out saying look ma, no feet!what a feet, er, I mean feat! At least my mom knows that's what I?m saying by the proud look on my face. I also like to take my long tail and use it to swing my bells back and forth. Eat your heart out Barnum and Bailey! If I don't find a permanent home soon, I may just fly away and join the circus! Oh, and don't let those ugly rumors about conures being loud influence you, I'm a pretty quiet bird. So if you'd like to be my air traffic controller, please give Mickaboo a call!
