I'm Rocky, a Citron Cockatoo with a not so pleasant past. In fact it is so unpleasant I prefer to spare you the details. On the plus side-I'm in a nice foster home and they treat me really well. When I first got here I was skinny and greasy looking. I was so thin my keel was showing, but now I am plump and healthy! I get regular baths now and my feathers look great! I eat well and there is plenty of food here to go around! I eat pellets, fruits and veggies- isn't that great? I just love bananas, peanuts, apple and of course all the seeds. I'm not really friendly or buddy- buddy with any of the other birds here but I do get along ok with a goffins 'too and a lesser sulphur crested cockatoo that also live here. We hang out in the large aviary outdoors when the weather is nice. I love to climb all over and chew and pull on things when I am out there. It's really fun. My foster mom says I am really cute and fun to watch. During the day, when I'm not in the aviary, I sit on my cage and play-top. I'm really good about that. I've made some really good changes in my lifestyle while I've been here such as with my diet, and socializing some with other birds. I'm not too tame though. In addition, I have some anger issues I am dealing with from my past living situation. Inside I am a nice bird wanting to be your friend, but I do have trust issues. If you are willing to spend time with me and get to know me perhaps I can change. Or maybe we can admire each other from afar-I'm very independent and do well on my own. Perhaps I am the bird for you? You can find out more about me from my coordinator. Notice: Due to the notoriously difficult nature of cockatoos, Mickaboo prefers that cockatoos not be a households' first parrot.
