Arenít I just the loveliest Scruffy that you ever did see? Why, Iím about as far from ëscruffy-lookingí as a lady can get! Iím what youíd call a Cinnamon Pearly Pied which, as you can see, amounts to beautiful markings on my feathers. Iím just certain that the minute you realize what a little gem I am, you won't be able to control yourself and youíll simply have to adopt me! For the first four years of my life, I lived in a wonderful home, surrounded by love, just as I know I was destined to be! But, alas, mine is a story that has pain as well. When a baby was added to the family, I was no longer the cherished lovely. And when it was noticed that ñ oh, goodness, this is no topic for a lady to discuss! ñ I had watery droppings, my beloved family gave me away, in order to spare themselves the veterinary costs. Luckily, Mickabooís vet determined I only have a yeast and bacterial infection, both of which will be cleared up shortly! Go on and call Mickaboo. Tell them you just have to adopt your liíl lovelyÖdonít worry, theyíll understand! UPDATE: I've found a new home with a wonderful family that includes 5 other cockatiels! I also have a new name that suits me much better, "Heidi". Here's what my new human companion has to say: "Heidi has stolen the heart of her new human and only has eyes for him. She has also adjusted very well to her new flockmates and has changed her all seed diet to pellets, veggies and greens." Notice: Cockatiels are flock animals, and most of them are much happier when they live with at least one other cockatiel! Because of this, unless a household currently includes another cockatiel, Mickaboo usually requires that a minimum of two cockatiels be adopted. Print this page |
